Diazepam is prescribed to some people to be taken only a few times per day. If this is you, you should choose times that you can remember to take the medication such as when you brush your teeth or at mealtimes.

For example, before an operation, some people only need diazepam one time.

Normally, diazepam should not be taken for more than 4 weeks.

You should not take diazepam before you go to bed if you're taking it to aid you in sleeping.
